Sailing - a fine art of getting wet
and becoming sick while slowly going nowhere at great expense.
We do not know where this pesimist author got wet and sick but probably
not on Croatian Adriatic. One can get like that here now and then
but more likely spoiled as neither strong winds nor big waves
are common. And if one sails between a thousand islands he definitely
isnt going nowhere.
It wont be at great expense either as there are many modern
yachts of all kinds available for charter. We can save one for you
if you wish but wouldnt you like something special? Like an
old wooden beauty with crew to worry and you to enjoy? It would
take you from one to another of the most interesting and pleasant
islands, raise its sails when the winds are good but also carry
the thing you want with you on your vacation: a bicycle,
a kayak, a diving gear, a pair of hiking shoes
These old timers do not provide luxury of a big cruiser but some
people prefer spending their vacation wearing shorts and sandals.
Those also enjoy simply throwing themselves into clear turquise
water while the ship is anchored for lunch. They also love to paddle
and explore the cliffs, caves and beaches on shore. Or they get
on a bike, ride it to the villages with no hotels or tourists to
meet the local people, taste excellent cheese and drink a glass
of home made wine.
If you are such a type let us (similar types) find a boat for you.
Even better your friends must be of that type as well, so
get them all together and have the whole boat for yourselves. The
captain will go where you want, the chef will cook what you want
and the guide will do what he wants.
What would you want? Tell us -
