Lopud is the second largest of the Elaphite
islands. Due to agreeably mild climate and lots of sunshine island
is covered in lush Mediterranean vegetation. Lopud, the only settlement, is located in a bay, and from where there is a path that leads to the sandy Bay of sunj on the far side of the island. There are no cars and no industry on this island. Sub-tropical vegetation – cypress, lemon, orange, pine and palm trees, numerous beautiful beaches, and the possibility of pleasant walks and cycling along the shore line, kayaking and snorkeling, contribute to making Lopud an exceptionally attractive Huck Finn destination.
